1. Where is the best place to park for your tour? Bardstown has free parking along the downtown streets and there is a community parking lot across from Hadorn's Bakery on W. Flaget Street.
  2. What's the pace of the tour? We welcome runners of all abilities! This is not a race. We will have two guides (one leading and one following) for every tour. This is a group run with frequent breaks. We will wait for everyone at each stop before sharing our stories. For the walking tour, you do not need to be fast but you do need to be able to comfortably walk 3 miles.
  3. What should I bring along? Pictures are encouraged so bring your camera! Don't have a camera? No worries, we will be taking pictures along the way. We ask that you bring your own water to decrease our impact on our environment. Finally, bring your adventurous and fun loving self!
  4. How many runners will you take on a tour? For safety and to allow everyone to enjoy the tour, we are keeping our groups to a 12 person maximum.
  5. What is the longest distance run at one time? 0.5 mi is our longest and most challenging leg. The majority are around .25 mi, with the shortest being 20 feet!
  6. What time should we be finished? The running tour will last 1-1.5 hours, finishing around 9:00-9:30am. The walking tour takes from 2-2.5 hours, finishing at 12:00-12:30.
  7. What happens if it rains? We tour in rain or shine! We aren't afraid to get wet, but if you are, you can re-schedule to any of our other available runs.
  8. What is your cancellation/refund policy? If you contact My Old Kentucky Running Tour via email or phone to cancel your purchased tour at least one week in advance, we will refund your money. If we cancel your tour due to extreme weather, we will refund your money.
  9. Can I bring my jogging stroller? Jogging strollers are welcome, however there is one site that will require a different route assisted by your tour guide.
  10. What else should I do with my day in Bardstown? See our tourism page that has links to many tours, restaurants, and activities!
